I’m not sure if I asked if whether vigils count as days of holy days of obligation, so would anyone please tell me if they are?
Thanks

Yes. Certainly.I’m not sure if I asked if whether vigils count as days of holy days of obligation, so would anyone please tell me if they are?

FYI - I think those early vigils are usually limited to individual parishes for unique situations, and not diocesan wide. For example, the Cathedral for Las Vegas, which is just off the Vegas strip.some dioceses schedule earlier "vigils " at 2 or 3 pm for one reason or another
A vigil Mass can indeed be scheduled to occur in the afternoon. For some feast days, that’s possible.I note that the time frame for a vigil is usually 4 pm or layer the day before, however some dioceses schedule earlier "vigils " at 2 or 3 pm for one reason or another. That is why I suggested checking.
