No sir, she did more than that.Please read Surah Ale-Imran and Surah Maryam for yourself, very intently and then you would know it. You won’t find a single Muslim, who would speak a word against her, such is she respected.

Except, to give birth to him (a “prophet”) is still something.

I realize that Muslims believe Mary led a very holy life obedient to God, but if her Son was not the fufilment of the scriptures, I dont see why Muhhamed’s mother gets no attention unless she was not obedient to God somehow.

Its just hard for me to see the logic in Islamic thinking, that’s all.

Muhammad was born into a pagan family and was raised as a pagan. He was about 40 years old when he had his first visit from the angel in the cave.

Men do seem to go through some ‘stages’ at that age I guess.

Thanks for letting me know about his pagan roots.
On the bright side, he has something sort of in common with Augustine then, but not too much.

I think I read in the wiki that he is a descendant of Ischmael the son of Abraham? Is this true? Dessert

And I read that Mohammad may have had epiepsi which may explain his trance state.
That is an interesting comparison, but I think Augustine was angelican then his mother became Catholic, because of marriage I think and so she and wanted him to follow her, many saints have similarities.
I don’t doubt the muslims have their own saints. 🤷

Muslims claim this. There is no proof.

In the opnion of others, this is used by Muslims to tie their religon all the way back to Adam & Eve. They claim that all of the prophets were actually Islamic and not Jewish or Christian.

No proof, but if we read the description of the conversation that took place with God and hagar, we can see Islam there. At least I do.

Let me get my bible out and I will cite the passages. God promises many decendants to come from Ishmael, and there is also the fortelling of the violence that shall come from this bloodline.
Its all in there.

Yes that part does fit some of the Arab tribes as being descendents of Ishmael. the question is, are all Arab tribes descendents of his? Ishmel had to have at least one wife… they would have come from other Arab tribes most likely. I believe that there is no record of genealogy like the Jewish people have kept. There is no proof that Muhammad was a direct descendent of Ishmel. Nor are there any prophesies that a prophet would emerge from the descendents of Ishmel.

I agree with this.

But, unfortunately the Muslims use the book of deut. to “prove” Muhhamed was coming. (in fact, it is a reference to Jesus coming instead)

I dont know if the mulims would need to trace their lineage with any proof.

To me, the proof is right in this text that a violent religion would be started and it started with the Issac/Ishmael thing.

The covenant issue. All due to Sarah not being patient and trusting in God’s promise he made. Her impatience, and laugh, and her trying to “help” God along by introducing a slave (Hagar) was to be the begginings of something we must now endure and suffer for. (that’s just my two cents anyway)

Some mens are hunters and some mens are farmers but them same mens are all but fish in the sea! 😛
