first, i’m sorry if this is a sensitive topic for some people.

i’m so desperate by watching this situation where our society’s moral is breaking down, people are being more like animals than being humans day by day, people talk “have you slept with her?” or “OMG, she made me cum 4 times!!!”, etc, etc, etc like it was a game, a child’s play, and they don’t even feel ashamed by it… not at all…

if you can feel me, that is a picture of how pathetic our society are now…

girls who did free sex are called “open minded”, so the questions is: does increasing the risk of getting genital decease or HIV is an act of open-minded person? or worse, the risk of being dumped like garbage by their boyfriends if their boyfriends are bored with them is a wise choice to do? and many other worse things could happened…

that kind of stupidity our society is being right now.

boys who haven’t lose their virginity at the age of 17 (or probably 15 or younger) with their girlfriend or anonymous girls they met at clubs is probably called old-fashioned, chicken or something…

many people lost their virginity lately, men and women. but, i think, women’s virginity is more important for me. from the men’s point of view, (as far as i know) we always prefer more to the virgin women (but i don’t mean to be disrespect to they who are not, no offense)

facing this kind of (sadly) situation, what’s the opinion of the other members about virginity and what is the Catholic Church views by dealing with this kind of situation?

I am highly in favor of chastity and I agree that the lack of chastity is hurting society in a very real and traumatic way. I think the best way to deal with our over-sexed culture is to refuse to partake in the portions of it that are very harmful.

I beleive virginnity is a beautiful thing. The remainder of chasity for your spoouse is what seems to have been dicatated by our creator. Simply this, if you went all of your life not eating cheesecake, when you finally get to marrige and receive cheesecake, your going to enjoy it way more.

God looks at any sacrafice made to him as beautiful and warms his heart from what I have felt through my own life (this is a pure faith statement from myself with some bibilical support).

I will tell you though, even if you did give up your virginity, there is ceartinly a second chance at it, by a firm commitment to the holy spirit and a commitment to chasity you can attain what some people refer to as “secondary virginity.” When entangled with desires of the spirit will be as rewarding as the first commitment.

I will say I fully admire those who maintian purity to marrige. It is a true commitment of self.

Virginity is something to preserve until marriage.
Do not measure yourself by secular ideals, secular ideals are ever-changing. Whereas christian ones are constant.

Thing of keeping virginity as keeping yourself hygenic, spiritually and physically hygenic.

I am a virgin and I am past age three oooo . And I am a devout catholic. So count me as an example as one of those catholics who believe in purity.

I am not a hypocrite because I have decided to stay pure for the love of God’s Grace.
Read the New Testament. BTW. to bolster up your understanding of what God finds perfect.
