I have found this thread really interesting! I had no idea that there were even Mass sets and such.
I know it’s a difficult thing with family and all (trust me, I have my own mother and in-law issues), but I thought I would try to help
The fact that your mother-in-law is pushing nonorthodox views on your children concerns me, and IMHO I think shows her lack of respect for your responsibility to bring your children up with sound Catholic teaching. What she is advocating (gay priests) is immoral or impossible (women priests) and can contaminate your children’s understanding of right and wrong. If I were you, I would be firm that she cannot try to impart such beliefs on my children.We have tried to talk to my mother-in-law but she is insistent that women should be priest–she also supports gay priests and the like so it is definitly a hot button topic all around.
