Does anyone know if there is an age limit for a monastic vocation to Holy Resurrection? Thank you.

I don’t think there is an age limit. I know they took Fr. Basil in his 50’s and I know of a couple of other older guys who have/are discerning a vocation with them.Does anyone know if there is an age limit for a monastic vocation to Holy Resurrection? Thank you.

Just yesterday I found that the priest at the the RC church I attend was a wealthy 35 year old stock broker in Chicago, who entered the seminary at that time when he actually saw the soul of his father arise on his death (though he was brouht up in a good catholic family he was still into making money). I dont think age should have anything to to with entrance into the seminary.Does anyone know if there is an age limit for a monastic vocation to Holy Resurrection? Thank you.

Noone has a right to entrance into a monastery. It’s all up to the abbot. He could reject a 25 year old and accept a 60 year old. It all depends if he thinks you have a vocation! I hope$$$ has nothing to do with it.Just yesterday I found that the priest at the the RC church I attend was a wealthy 35 year old stock broker in Chicago, who entered the seminary at that time when he actually saw the soul of his father arise on his death (though he was brouht up in a good catholic family he was still into making money). Then too I know of a man who was so devoted,I would think him a saint, and he was accepted in the seminary, had a stroke at a very young age, and now can only confess,
and praises God that he can do that much, but he has no money…nor does his family.
BUT DEPENDING ON THE BISHOP, MONEY SPEAKS LOUD, - FOOLISH BISHOPS.
BVM in Marian apparitions said thta the bishops (shepheards) have lost their way.
Keep trying, keep pushing, I will pray for you and if I can do any mor let me now
