Vocation

[bdrunner]

Please say a prayer one more time for a family member discerning a call to the religious life vs. a secular academic life that they keep all doors open to them that are working towards achieving the will of God. Thanks

[tawny]

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give your family member guidance & direction in their life’s choices.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen

[pollylodges]

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

To Know One’s Vocation
**
Lord, my God and my loving Father,
You have made me to know You, to love You, to serve You,
and thereby to find and to fulfill myself.
I know that You are in all things,
and that every path can lead me to You.
But of them all, there is one especially
by which You want me to come to You.
Since I will do what You want of me,
I pray You, send your Holy Spirit to me: into my mind,
to show me what You want of me; into my heart,
to give me the determination to do it,
and to do it with all my love, with all my mind,
and with all my strength right to the end.
Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

O Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, patron of vocations, visiting the sick at a hospital you were called by a voice to leave the world and serve God completely, hearing the words “Leave the world and give yourself to me,” please remember the family member of bdrunner, who, like so many persons, is discerning to find a place in God’s plan. Please pray for wisdom and patience for the family member and send holy angels and helpful people to his/her life so that he/she will make the right choice that will bring the greatest glory to God and the profoundest benefit for the salvation of souls. Through Christ Our Lord, amen.
