We need to pray for more vocations because the Church is not looking into ordaining married men, especially in England.

I had no idea that the amount of new priests are declining. Welp, another reason for me to become a priest in the future eh?

I do agree we need more vocations to the priesthood as they are the only ones who can consecrate the eucharist, but please do NOT forget to pray for good, holy, persevering vocations to ALL forms of consecrated life. We need more religious brothers, religious sisters, more consecrated lay people and priests called to secular/aggregated institutes, more consecrated virgins, and more hermits. We do NOT just need numbers but VERY good, holy, and persevering vocations, please!

Last time I toured the seminary, there were quite a significant amount of high school aged men. They all seemed very interested in becoming a priest!
I’m coming back to the seminary this July for a retreat. Let’s hope the turnout is great.

Our priest is a very holy person. He was ordained in 2001. I pray at each Mass that boys and girls will be inspired by his example and produce many vocations. In fact, we recite/read the Vocation Prayer before every Mass. Will continue to pray for more shepherds to lead the flock.
