A quick response would be great since I should be leaving soon.

Is it ok to do volunteer work (waiting tables and other like things I guess, not too sure what it is I might have to do) on Sunday?
.
I think it may take about four hours

Of course!
You are helping people, and the Lord never frowns on that, that I’ve heard.
After all, Jesus Himself performed miracles on the Sabbath (I know, I know…) so why would volunteering be a problem?

Go, give of your time and heart, and rest easy, I believe the Lord is pleased!

Continuing this thought, if it were wrong to volunteer on Sunday, then that means that homeless shelters should be closed, and vol firefighters should ignore the call.
And if volunteering is wrong, how much worse to actually make money on Sunday??? (sarcasm here)
Hospitals and police should be closed, no TV or radio, buses, trains, gas stations, ect…

Again, I see nothing wrong, and everything right, in volunteering on Sunday, as well as every other day of the week.

I forgot to mention that I believe the money gained goes to our youth group. Does that affect this in any way?

Don’t see why/how that’s a problem.
Money has to go somewhere, at least it’s for a
good cause, eh?
Again, go and enjoy yourself, this is the day the
Lord hath made…

You’re very welcome!
Have you gone already?
Did you have a nice time?
Hope so, and enjoy your Sunday.
