another thing I hate is buying a bunch of craft magazines, getting grandiose ideas for homemade gifts and decorations, spending a fortune at Michaels or Hobby Lobby in September–and having the craft supplies sitting around for the next year reminding you how lazy you are, because of course the crafts never get made (or if they do they are too tacky to give to anyone.

I’m one of the few who voted for spoiled children who are not the least bit grateful for their gifts since they already got $300 worth of stuff that day…it makes you wish you hadn’t bothered. I love buying gifts for people, so that part doesn’t bother me. But I am NOT a fan of wrapping gifts. I didn’t see that mentioned by anyone yet.

What I hate most this year is wondering if my Christmas packages will arrive in time for my brother and other friends of ours who are overseas, serving in Iraq. I can’t stand the thought of any soldier not having a special package arrive before Christmas, helping them remember that even though they’re far away, we keep them close in our thoughts and prayers. .
