I dont dance around questions. I fought alongside homosexual men and women. I know first hand the struggle they go through.

You didnt answer my question. You said the catholic church is the ONLY church tolerant of ‘‘these’’ people.

My question is where did you get the idea from that the catholic church is the ONLY one tolerant of homosexual men and women - ‘‘these’’ people as you call them.

Many many christian churchs embrace homosexual men and women with love, charity and acceptance. The catholic church is by no means the only one.
My Catechism says it all. no further questions. Try reading it.

I have read it from cover to cover several times. Nowhere in it does it say catholicism is the ONLY faith that ‘‘tolerates these people’’.

Are you sure you have catholic catechism

If you exclude the indices, prologue, apostolic letter, apostolic constitution and contents pages, it runs from page 13 to 688 - with 2 color plates - thats only 672 pages of actual catechism. 😉

Pretty arrogant if you ask me. But there are some Catechisms that are different because they have different writers. So you can “boast” all you want to.
If you really knew that much about the Catholic church, you’d be Catholic. Because all your time is looking to belittle others with your search engines. Problem is, you really don’t know anything.

Great! Make sure you get to the Catacombs so you can see how everything was Catholic in belief 2,000 years ago…👍

Please state clearly the reference number in the catechism where it states that the catholic church is the only chuch that ‘‘tolerates these people’’. Please answer the question. The reference number is fine. I’m not holding my breath though.

The fact is, homosexual men and women are welcomed, accepted, and cherished in many christian churchs.

But I still want you to, based on your claim, show us where it says in the catechism of the catholic church that it is the ONLY church that ‘‘tolerates these people’’

Or admit you cant because you are wrong 👍 (again!)

I don’t think that homosexuals are unrepentant. They can’t help it if they are “different”. It is not a choice to be gay. You find out at early age in life. Do you not think that God knows what you are to become before you are born? Of course you do, so they are in fact accepted. According to the Catechism of the Catholic church, it says they are to be accepted AND respected. Our Catholic church is the only one tolerant of these people. Remember, love the sinner, hate the sin. Personally, I do not feel gays will go straight to hell…🤷
The person you are replying to was actually refering to practicing homosexuals (ie: those that have “gay sex”), rather than all homosexuals.

Your church is not the only one tollerant of homosexuals (or “these people”), it wont even allow them to be members of the clergy while others do.

In Charity I will assume you misread or misunderstood what was being said.

I was speaking about the “ordained ‘actively practicing homosexual’ clergy” of the Lutheran, Anglican & Other churches that profess fidelity to GOD & the Holy Scriptures who then engage is acts that the scripture clear deplores & then ascend to their respective Altars & teach what the Bible “says” & offer up their forms of Worship. From scripture, they are an affront to God because they are false teachers and they are actively engaged in leading others astray. You know the verses and hopefully the cathechism.

I in no ways said that we can not or should not accepted homosexual & other types of people ( sinners all). True they can not help being different, BUT they can help how they respond to those differences especially in light of the Bible & the teachings of the Church(es) across History. Nor did I say that these folks would go to Hell. That is between them & God prior to their departure from this veil. They, like all of us, can and should lead a chaste life ( look up the meanings). We should all make a good act of contrition (something that is obviously missing by the consistent & repetitive nature of their sins due to a lack of true sincerity) & seek God’s Forgiveness according to our faith traditions.

Hopefully this has cleared up some things for you.

Perhaps a review about Contrition, Repentance & the Sacrament of Reconciliation might be in order.
would be a benefit to you.

Right, I was not talking about members of the clergy but people in general…but what is the difference between a homosexual and a practicing homosexual? A homosexual is still a homosexual.

Why don’t you tell us? Since you bragged on an earlier post you know the Catechism inside and out.

Right, I was not talking about members of the clergy but people in general.
Its not really clear why you thought that you needed to clarify this (I know that you were talking about all homosexuals), could you explain this?
but what is the difference between a homosexual and a practicing homosexual? A homosexual is still a homosexual.
This was already answered.

Huge difference. SSA is not a sin in and of itself. When the thoughts are entertained and especially when acted upon is the problem.

But God knows what you are to be before you are born, am I right about that?

I didnt make the claim - you did.

Now you tell us where in the catechism of the catholic church, as **you **claim it is, it says that the catholic church is the only church that ‘‘tolerates these people’’.

Or admit that the catechsim says no such thing and you are wrong. 👍

Because making false claims about the content of the catechism of the catholic church is tantamount to making false claims against the church itself - you are slandering the Churchs own authorative teaching in her catechism - and yet you claim to be defending the church

Dont you realise that many people wont bother actually reading the catechism and simple take information posted here, especially from an alleged catholic, on face value - when you spread false information you are** damaging **the church and it’s actual teachings.

But God knows what you are to be before you are born, am I right about that?
Yes. But Christians with SSA are not allowed to act on it. It is a sin. It may or may not be fair as we see it but if I am to believe the Bible, that is the way it is.
