This election cycle I have a ton of county judges I have to vote for. Here’s my questions:
  1. The various pro-life and pro-family action committees have released their lists of pro-life/family candidates, but a lot of the lists seem to have little info on the 50+ judges I have to vote yes/no on. What I did notice, though, is that a vast majority of the judges were given “yes to reelect” endorsements by a local bar association that actively supports “gay” marriage. Would it be acceptable to simply vote “no” on all those that the bar association supports, since their support probably indicates the judge’s openness to “gay” marriage?
  2. Are you allowed to simply not vote for those candidates that you don’t feel comfortable voting for, particularly those who are running unopposed? I want to make sure it won’t invalidate my ballot.
  3. Is it better to vote for a slightly less ideal candidate to avoid supporting an even worse one? I ask because two candidates for the same office are pro-choice, but one seems slightly less so than the other (the other is quite rabidly pro-choice).
  4. For municipal offices like county clerk, or water reclamation, etc., I don’t know if you can find much info on the candidate’s pro-life views or if they really matter (except if they were perhaps to run for higher office in the future). Last time I merely voted for those whose policies I think would’ve most effectively helped the organization they are running for.
Pax!

I routinely vote all the judges out.Since little to no information is available re their stance on issues,I think this is a prudent way to go;)
