And you know whats better then keeping em in stasis? Using them to find cures for disese!
Oh, they are being used but no private money is going to it anymore because it has been proved to be a false hope. There have been exactly 0 cures, treatments, etc from embryonic stem cells. However, adult stem cells have yielded 73 cures, treatments, etc. It is better to put your money on a winning horse than on the loser. And this is just a utilitarian view. The moral issues is that you cannot directly intend the death of innocent human life. Humans are not a commodity.
Ah … look at the South Africa, Japan, China (which just admitted an AIDS epidemic the scope of Africa), The United States nearly every country that has tried to fight disease with condoms. This is opposed to Uganda which has a more comprehensive plan with the center piece being abstinence. This is all well documented. Not only that but the increase in the use of contraceptives also increases the number of abortions which is also a moral evil.
You know, i think killing innocent Iraqi civillians, and tearing apart there country, ranks a little higher on the list of moral ramifications then gay marriage, but thats just me.
I would say that in this war the killing of non-combatants is minimal. It is not like we are carpet bombing the cities like in World War II. I don’t know where you are stationed, however, my ex-girlfriend is in Baghdad at this very moment building and modernizing the infrastructure as a civil engineer for the Air Force. Your perception seems a little short sighted and too narrow.
You may have, but i didn’t. And i seem to recall quite the controversy over recounts back in 00’ causing me to question the legality over bush’s presidency.
Irrelevant. The way this nation works is that we elect our leaders and then we follow them. Now you can try to elect your own candidates in the next election cycle but until then it is silly to maintain this “I didn’t vote for him” mentality that was a recent invention by the DNC to disparage Bush '41 after his election.
Yes, I too remember the voting inconsistencies. I remember very vividly here in New Mexico that about 3 weeks after the election we found in a closet enough uncounted ballots to turn this state from blue to red. If we want to talk voter fraud your party does not have a leg to stand on.
