I told my mom that my dream wedding would be in Tuscany (Florence, where my father is from, or the beautiful Tuscan countryside). Lol, she told me that would never happen because it’s too expensive. Still, I wouldn’t write off an Italian themed wedding/reception (especially if I end up marrying Italian in the future) because I see it as honoring my roots throughout my life, including my marriage. Plus, Italian culture is amazingly beautiful (but maybe I’m a little biased, lol

I think with the actual wedding, you shouldn’t have too much distraction. Ethnic themed weddings (if you are of that ethnicity) are one thing, but if it’s a Catholic wedding, you want to make sure the focus is on the Lord and His plan for marriage. However, for the reception, feel free to go crazy
