Waiting for a spiritual Guide.

I noticed that different nations are still waiting for their spiritual leader i.e. a promised person to appear in the world as promised intheir holy books. Can any ( religious) person tell me who is waiting for any promised person to come and help solve the world problems.

Um…Christians are waiting on Christ to come back.
 
**Christianity ** is waiting for Jesus of Nazareth to come back.
Islam is waiting for Isa of Miriam to come back.
Judaism is waiting for the moshiach to save the Jewish people.
Bahai is waiting for the next major prophet to come.
Rastafari are waiting for God in the form of Haile Selaisse to return.
Shia are waiting for Mahdi to return with Isa and other holy people during the last days.

I wonder if they are all on the same bus, and it got held up somewhere in Alabama.

They’re at a toll booth in purgatory. Once they can get the computers up again, they’ll all be on their way. (5 apocalypses at once!)
 
We are waiting for the love of our neighbor through the Holy Spirit to return to hearts of people so we can love each other.
 
I knew enough about the Jews and christians and Muslims (Shia / Sunni) and Ahmadis. But did not know about the Baha’is.

AJtheMan, The Jews should be waiting for that Prophet of the Deut 18:18. Since they did not accept Jesus and John the Baptist, the Jews should be waiting for Elijah too and must be waiting for their Messiah. So it makes three persons. Am I right??

Sorry, all I know is that Jews are waiting for the messiah. I don’t really know much more than that. You’re right, it’s possible that they need two others, first, but that might just be the Christian interpretation. It would be better to ask a Jew.
 
My Hebrew Catholic friend said the Jews are waiting for another King David to bring goodness and justice to the world.

I brought that up to a zealous Jew and he affirmed that. But there are 22 Jewish identities in Israel alone. So I wonder what each identity would say.
