Waiting for my "this too shall pass"

I’m in a very dark place now. Have struggled with my trials for the past 16 years. Every aspect of my life has been overturned. I’ve trusted and prayed, but without a respite. Feeling forsaken by God.

This cross has been extremely heavy for so many years and I’m finally at the point that I don’t have the strength to carry it anymore.

I find comfort knowing that “life is short.” Realizing that this may never pass.

It will indeed pass. This life is short. Don’t give up. God will never forsake you!

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.

Offer up your sufferings by uniting them to Jesus’ cross and make use of them. :console:
 
try to spend as much time at Adoration chapel as you can and sitting with our Lord. daily spiritual reading to help quiet your mind.
I will be praying for you.
 
Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.
 
Dear Jesus,

You know what it means to be overburdened, abandoned, and unspeakably weary.

Please send speedy help and hope to jmj777, who has been waiting so long.

Prayer in time of suffering

Behold me, my beloved Jesus, weighted down
under the burden of my trials and sufferings,
I cast myself at Your Feet,
that You may renew my strength and courage
While I rest here in Your presence,
Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart,
for only Your Infinite goodness can sustain me;
only Your Love can help me bear my cross;
only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight:
O Divine King Jesus,
whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted,
I wish to live in You, suffer and die in You.
During my life be to me my model and my support,

Dear fellow soldier of Christ,
in Romans 8:28 it says that
ALL things work together for
the GOOD of those who love
God and are called according
to His purpose and IT GOES ON
to say that we are being made
into the IMAGE of His Son!!
So, be encouraged, and know that
God IS WORKING thru these trials
to conform you to Christ’s image!!

Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

It shall pass, even if it’s only after death. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.

I’ve been there, just know that God can ease the burden and/or take it away no matter how long you’ve been carrying your cross. What helped me, most of all, was relying on God’s strength rather than my own, sometimes we forget that when we’re fighting these trials. And not to be afraid (fear does not come from God).

Praying a “Our Lady of Pompeii” novena also helped enormously (you have to do it for 54 days). It brought me so much joy and peace.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular jmj777, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Christ’s overflowing comfort, just as the
sufferings of Christ are experienced in
our lives!!
