A bit of background. My wife, daughter and I are in RCIA/RCIC with intentions of joining the Church. My wife and I were both baptized in the Baptist faith and our daughter has not been baptized. I have an annulment in process that probably won’t be complete until late summer or fall. I am aware that I am not going to be able to be confirmed and receive first communion at Easter Vigil due to my ongoing annulment case, My question is this. It has recently been brought to my attention that there may be some question as to whether or not my wife will be able to enter the church. Furthermore, that seems to call into question if my daughter would then be able to join since she wouldn’t have a Catholic parent if my wife and I had to wait for the completion of my annulment.
I hope all of the above made sense…if not, feel free to ask questions. I will be speaking to our priest about this, but am finding it difficult to have patience. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless!
