The Church does not require that spouses have a grave reason, merely a just reason (CCC 2368)

Grave, serious, just and good reasons-- these adjetives are all acceptable in describing the criteria for using NFP. The language is pulled from Humanae vitae. What the Church teaches on the moral spacing and limiting of births by spouses. Hope that helps.

There is a word for young married couples who use NFP to delay children.

The word is parents.

I know of no teaching or obligation to pursue, or not to delay, children at the start of marriage. Hence delaying marriage until one is ready for children is not a duty, to the best of my knowledge.

If financial resources are a factor, it follows that 2 living under one roof, sharing one car (if any) may be a faster road to achieve the appropriate conditions for expanding the family.
