Waking up at 3am every night?

Job, resisting the temptations of the devil, has gained a hundredfold of what he had, Eve succumbing to the temptation of the devil has lost a hundredfold of what she had.
So leave the devil alone, try to triumph over temptations the temptations God allowed the devil to do to us to reach heaven.

It has to be demonic then. Here is a solution. Go to bed at 7pm setting your alarm clock for 2:59 am. You will be up at 3.

So why then is he described as the author of sin at baptism? This is not to say we do not willingly sin, we do. But the devil is the origin of all sin.

The devil is at the origin of the hundredfold Job has won. To say that the devil is at the origin of the sin does not mean that we must be afraid of him, for he can make us win the heaven (the case of Job) or Hell … It all depends on us!

We must be afraid only of what can separate us from God. But the devil can not

Here is the thing. Yes we are to blame for the act of our own sin. Devil is to blame for tempting us. However without Jesus we are not strong enough on our own. The devil is stronger than us. We need Jesus to give us strength to resist sin. The devil can also affect other areas in our life (only with God’s permission of course) because we are not perfect. We need Mary’s help and intercession with the rosary(devil especially hates Mary because she was a human without sin that defeated him and will crush his head in the end), we need the archangels to help protect us, and of course we ultimately need Jesus. The sacraments, holy water, confession are all there to lessen the devils presence in our lives and bring us closer to Jesus.

yes he can. All God allows , is to permit us to gain the Heaven, including the temptations of the devil. “Everything works for the good of those who love God”

The Devil can and does. We have to choose to let him, but it is his sole goal for the rest of his miserable existence to snatch as many people away from God as possible.

God can never allow us to be tempted above our strength (to understand our strengths with the grace of God). It’s a dogma

The devil always acts with the permission of God. And when God allows the devil to act against us, it is for our good

Yes but it doesn’t happen overnight. Some people battle with a certain sin for a while before they are able to finally overcome it.

Yes, He doesn’t. But to treat Satan as some sort of helpful spiritual body builder is erroneous, and that’s the sense I’ve been getting from your posts. Satan is the author of sin. As I said, the Church describes him as such, I for one promised to reject Satan under those two titles I named to you at my own baptism. The Church would not call him those things were he not either of them.

Attention the devil does not act with the intention to do us good. But when God allows the devil to act against us, God has the intention of doing us good. the devil is like an instrument in his hands
So the devil does us good despite himself. He would have liked to hurt us, but it’s impossible unless we want it ourselves …

Attention the devil does not act with the intention to do us good.
Could you clarify what you mean by this?
But when God allows the devil to act against us, God has the intention of doing us good.
God allows it, but that does not make what the Devil is doing good, nor does it make the Devil’s actions good because they’re allowed. By that logic, I cannot sin because God allows me to.

You distort the meaning of what I say.
In summary God uses the devil to do us good. But, the devil wants to hurt us. But it is hardly lost for him, unless we ourselves choose him!
Conclusion do not go scared of the Devil!
It’s clear, I do not know why you’re looking for diversion.

I wake around that time every night too, but only because I have to get up for work. I don’t use an alarm clock, which tells me can train ourselves to rise whenever we want. You have’t been doing that, but waking regularly at any specific time is not a cause for concern, to my mind.

I’ve never heard the story about what time demons are most active. I would think if they want to influence me in some way they’d want to keep me asleep and whisper to my unconscious mind. At any rate, if there are indeed demons hovering around us, even in droves, there is nothing to fear.

You said:
The only thing that can separate us from the love of God is sin. So the Christian should be only afraid of committing sin.
By definition, we are afraid of what can separate us from what makes us happy. It is the love of God that should make the Christian happy!
The Devil is the author of that which makes us unhappy, and thus, by your definition, afraid. Yes, we have to make a choice, yes we should not be cowering under our beds in terror of him, and yes, we are never tempted beyond what we can handle, but we must be wary of him.

Do you ever get letters from funeral homes? You are probably too young, but I know I get all kinds of garbage from funeral homes. They want me to “pre-need” for a funeral or cremation. I kind of wonder how it would be if someone pre-paid and then was buried or cremated alive! The wording can be very stupid at times. Must be they are in a hurry to get rid of me!

Anyway, about demons. I have a stupid thought: here it comes! My telephone rings off the hook. It keeps doing that, but when I go to answer it, there is no one there. Then there is an awful noise if I don’t answer it. A voice keeps saying “If you’d like to make a call, hang up and try again.” The voice will keep saying it over and over again, and then more noise.

I am not saying it is demons, but I notice that while I crave peace and quiet, all hell breaks loose. I can be enjoying a cup of coffee and someone will knock at the door, the dogs will bark, the phone will ring, and that’s when I feel like running away from home. This kind of harassment is really terrible on the nerves. This all happens simultaneously sometimes.

There are not many solutions but one: go somewhere, like to the store, church, or take a walk. These doorbell rings and door knocking bring about a case of the willies. I go out to see who it is. Sometimes it’s a big bruiser who looks unsavory with bad teeth and dirty clothes. They usually want to sell something.

Some guy wanted to sell me some meat! I have no idea where this meat came from. It could have been monster meat for all I know.

Seriously, I wish I had a newborn. I would keep him around for protection. I would let him gurgle over the phone or answer the door. He would probably chase away the weirdos, especially if he needed his diaper changed.

Happy Easter!
