Some pro-abortionists took a big banner into the pro-life crowd and stood in front of the EWTN live cameras right before we were about the begin the speeches. Fr. Joseph Fessio, founder and editor of Ignatius Press, other pro-lifers, and myself linked arms and blocked the protesters from view. They were hitting us, and they were pushing us. They even tried to push Fr. Fessio down. They thought they were smarter then us when they starting yelling loudly, “Abortion on Demand and Without Apology”. We responded loudly with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which drowned out their screaming. The media was swarming the blockade, and the protesters, realizing their message wasn’t being heard, got frustrated and left.

God bess you all.

Good job! Truth and God’s love will be victorious. We must have faith and pray for those opposing His plan for human life.

Wow! Bless you for litterally standing for the truth. Poor Father.

Wonderful video showing how God’s love overcomes evil. Thank you to all the witnesses present who calmly and prayerfully stood their ground. They were brave and stood proudly for truth. God Bless them all.

Posting this on the RealCatholicTV Facebook page. Thank you for your bravery and commitment to LIFE!

Hah! Funny [in a sick kind of way] that the majority of those pro-aborts were men!

That says an awful lot.

That the incident happened at all is very sad. I am also saddened seeing the ages of the pro-abortion marchers. From the video, I believe that they are kids. This is very sad indeed.

If you stop and think of some things that they say, it tells you a great deal about the state of education and how education is being used as a political tool, instead of building culture.

The kiids shouted that the fetus is not a baby. Obviously, they learned this somwhere. What they were not told is that a fetus is a human being. They were not told that the fetal stage is one of many stages of human development from conception to senility (old age). The term baby, is a popular term that spans from zygote to todler.

They also chanted that women are not incubators. Unfortunately, they were not told the the mammal’s uterus is exactly that. It is an incubator and there nothing shameful or unnatural about it. Every female mammal has a uterus and its function is clearly defined as providing the necessary environment where the new life is protected and nurtured.

There was another point in their chant that struck me as sad. The kids were shouting, “abortion on demand and without apologies.” Let’s take the first have of that statement. Obviously these kids have been taught entitlement. Man must be given whatever he wants, when he wants it, without consideration of the consequences or the rightness or wrongness of the request. This leads us to the second half of that statement, “without apologies”. They have been taught a false lesson. Man does not have to justify or defend his positions.

The minds of the young have been manipulated to promote a cause that that serves a special interest group, the pro-abortion group. In this process, little attention has been paid to the fact that these non-values (lies) can be generalized by these young people. When that happens, those who taught them will become their victims.

Today, these youngsters chant that a fetus is not a baby. In a few years, they may chant that their grandparent or their parent with Alzheimer’s is not a person.

Those who have taught these kids have done great harm not only to the unborn, but also to these kids and to their own future. When you dehumanize one stage in the developmental process, where do you draw the stop line?

It is very sad. The link on the pro-abortion protesters’ banner is the website for the Revolutionary Communist Party. I thought they were extinct in the US. 🤷

Old heresies never die; they just slither to a new arena. 😃

When I participate in these protests, if this happens, I pray that I too will be able to stand firm and just pray for them…

*Dear Br. Jay,

I just had to say that this post spoke volumes to me…
It breaks my heart that groups like the pro-abortion group…can manipulate young minds this way…it has always made me sick…
How do I explain to my children how to not let people manipulate their mind like this?

Being conservative and rather stuffy in character, I have always seen protests/marches as the refuge of radicals and long-haired brutes. This has been a constant opinion formed by experience. All the World Bank and Financial Summit protests around the world are invariably populated by communist youth. The protest movement is a hive of scum and villainy, wherever it may be and whatever personality it may take on. We ought to prefer change that is institutional and systematic, rather than attempt to take the system down from without. Sadly, it seems that the youth do not realise this, and will commit themselves to hateful violence until they grow up. Regardless, it was wonderful to see the older people taking a stand and making their love of God and human life known.

We desperately need young people in these pro-life statements, if only to show the young fools that it is “hip” to protect life; after all, you know most of them do it simply because it’s “the big thing” these days. When paganism was in vogue, these same youth would follow a goat off a cliff if someone told them it’d help them unite with the Ultimate Reality of Gaia or some such nonsense. This one fact is our cause for hope, though, because it is their ignorance (inspired by Satan) we are fighting, not them.

Holy God, help us to overcome the deluge of this murderous evil. Lord, give us Your Divine assistance, and convert the hearts of Your precious little ones to the ways of righteousness. We beseech You in the Name of the Lord; we beg You in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Your beloved Son - in Whom You are well-pleased forever! May the Holy Name of Jesus, who reigns on High, triumph over the hordes of Satan, whose renewed assaults gain ground upon innocent minds. Come, Father, and send your Archangel of Justice to minister to the world. May blessed Michael strike down the vile Enemy, wretch that he is!

Bravo to the pro-lifers who ** literally stood for the truth!

And thank you, Bro. JR, for your insightful post as always! I agree with you totally!

You do realize don’t you, that the pro-life crowd is out there protesting/marching the very same way the pro-death crowd is. 🤷 I fail to see how you can say that to protest/march for one cause is evil and bad, but it’s ok for a cause you support. Are you also saying that March for Life should never occur?
Regardless, it was wonderful to see the older people taking a stand and making their love of God and human life known.
Have you ever really looked at who is there for March for Life? You make is sound like it’s a lot of “old people”, when in reality there are thousands of people in their 20’s and even many teens!!

At least 27,000 (young people) attended the morning mass. Cold day today but well worth it. 👍
