I would first contact the Vocation Director of the Diocese that you are in. They could give you specific information on your above questions. Many diocese do not have thier own seminary and send thier candidates to seminaries in other areas.
Based on your education, you may have to go through a Pre-Theology program to get the required prerequiasites to enter into the program for the priesthood. Most of these programs are two-years in length.

Do you still reside in China (I am assuming that you are talking about mainland China)? If so, there are dioceses that the Chinese government do not recognize. If you are outside of China, check the local diocese that you are in.
If you mean Chinese Taipei, I know of one place you can contact. That is St. Vincent Archabbey in the United States. They have an associated Priory and Monestary in Taipei. They may be able to help you.

Go to the Internet. Find the web pages of dioceses in the countrys your IELTS allows you to travel to.
Contact the vocations director, who should be listed on the web page. I don’t know what the risk is in that. Perhaps one of us could contact a diocese for you, explaining that you are in China and get advice on how to deal with the particular issues there.

Are you allowed to come to the U.S.? We have a priest here who has spent much time working with men abroad who are interested in studying for and discerning the priesthood. He has apparently helped bring quite a few to Chicago. Many of them from Viet Nam as I recall.

I have no idea. Find out if you could enroll at Loyola University, Chicago. If you can, theoretically, you might be able to go to the college seminary for Chicago (St. Joseph’s) which formally exists as an entity of that institution.

I’d advise you against it at this present moment. The Church is practically finished in the western hemisphere, moribund, spiritually barren and overrun by lay apparats.
You could of course lend the whole process some dignity by ensuring it recieves a decent burial. But the whole of your work will be like breathing life into a cadaver.
Do be cautious, I know of only a handfull of priests who say if they had their time over again they would choose the same path in life.

My friend, I pray for you. Do whatever it takes to be a priest. We had a priest that was my age, 27ish, he left to get married, and he was simply the best, I loved his devotion to Christ. We need new priests. I pray for you, thank you. God chose a different path for my life, but I still wish He would have led me to the priesthood. I can’t become a priest, I have a family, but a part of me still wishes I could have been a priest. I don’t talk about it alot. I am glad God has chosen you to seek the priesthood, it shouldn’t be hard to find out about how you do it. Study in Rome if you get the chance. Thank you, God blessed you, we Bless you.

I have found a university named pontifical gregorian university with the pontifical north america college. does it accept students without American citizenship? do I have to study Italian?

If you are considering the priesthood then you should not be doing this alone.
You need to get a spiritual director and you need to get in touch with a vocation director of a diocese and/or a religious order.
You will not be accepted as a seminarian without the sponsorship of a bishop or religious order.

I had once studied to be a priest, but it wasn’t meant to be. I am now a happily married layman and am active in my home parish community.
Remember to stay close to God in prayer, seek the intercession of Mary, and frequent the sacraments.
You will first need to determine whether you want to move in the direction of becoming a diocesan priest or a religious order priest.
I assume that you have been receieving positive feedback from priests, laypeople, family and friends regarding this sense of a vocational call.
Once you have done this, consider making a retreat at the seminary of your choice. Ask the seminarians and the faculty about the experience. Speak also with the vocations director and with a spiritual director if you presently have one.
You will have to pass certain academic and psychological tests. Gather all records (baptism, first communion, confirmation, the marriage certificate of your parents if married in the Church.) At some point, you will be asked to come before a panel comprised of priests and some religious who will be evaluating your suitability as a candidate for theological study.
Your first years in formation will consist of intensive Philosophical study from Socrates and Plato through St. Augustine and St. Anselm, through the Cartesian error to Kant, Marx, and even Satre. You will need this basis in logic and reason to enter into theological study. The next four years will consist of in-depth theological study, and various internships. During all of this time, you, together with the Church, will join in evaluating whether or not a vocation to the priesthood is your life’s call.
May your experience be a positive and fruitful one, and may you grow to love God, self and others more deeply through it.

He’s in China. A little difficult to do that there. I think that the idea would be to get him over to this side of the ocean, let him formally be baptized and start practicing the faith fully, then perhaps see where vocational possibilities might lead.
How old are you, BTW, abc…? What level of education have you had thus far?
