I want to go to confession this afternoon however I have my 1.5 year old daughter and no one to watch her. Is it permissible for me to take her into the confessional with me?

Just go and ask the priest. The worst that can happen is he says no.

As long as you are not worried that she will tell anything said, it will be fine. I might let her listen to an iPod with headphones…

I don’t see why that would be a problem. I’ve done it myself. Personally, my limit is some time around 3, depending on the child. It isn’t so much that I’m worried about them understanding what I’m saying, though. It is more that they are starting to be ready to learn that confession is a special time and something that we do in private.
