I tried to keep him out of it by saying that it will happen in time. The thing is we have different view points on marriage. From my understanding, his idea of marriage is quality time with your wife and stuff. Not that i am completely against it but we believe that marriage is tri fold, husband, wife and God. Family history plays its role but foundation speaking, nothing will stand for long without God.blujazz25 said:
“Exactly! And the hard part is, they don’t get it…i just hope eventually they will see that.”
One of the saddest things that can happen to a person who otherwise has a good life is to become that infertile woman who has been trying for years and just can’t forgive other people for having kids. Your relatives are buying you an express train ticket to being that person. That’s not nice at all. Your brother, in particular, seems very much in your business, but you did allow the conversation to happen.
One of my married cousins didn’t have kids. She had everything–but no kids. I wondered about that. You can imagine, though, my delight at not having said anything when years later, I learned that she and her husband had been struggling with infertility.
