“It’s not the heat, it’s the humility!”Did I mention it’s a dry heat? Yes, it can be hot here, but the low humidity makes it very different from the Midwest. Instead of walking outside and being drenched in sweat, here you walk out into the heat and, somehow you know you’re sweating, but you’re dry. The air just sucks the moisture away.
Instead, our TYPICAL winter lows in the low 30s seem especially bitter because the dampness seeps into your clothes and you feel clammy and cold. They don’t sell good winter clothing here, except ski stuff.
