… are featured as the lead photo in the first blog post in a series on the March for Life January 2010:
countrydreaming-countrycorner.blogspot.com/2010/01/march-for-life-january-2010-we-people.html
The rest of the pictures are more uplifting, featuring an inspirational young woman who represents a disabled advocacy group called The Climb Organization, members of the Eastern Orthodox Church carrying an icon to the March for Life rally on the Washington mall, an anarchist agnostic against abortion, bagpipe players from The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property, and a passionate man hanging off the Russell Senate Building holding aloft a large wooden crucifix.
Since the mainstream media was noticeably absent from the March for Life, I decided somebody had to do their job. Kudos to FOX News and EWTN for showing up, and in fairness I also observed a C-SPAN reporter in attendance.
In the blog entries that follow this “We the People” human interest story, I will be featuring such March for Life 2010 topics as media presence, Catholic participation and influence, outstanding signs and banners, and college representation, with a special focus on Notre Dame.
Stay tuned …
