You do know we are all going to share in those sufferings? The good, bad, godly and godless, young, old, innocent and guilty. All living creatures on Earth will suffer terribly. Our Lady has consistently appealed for us to heed her warnings seriously and act to prevent the Divine wrath being set loose on the Earth because when it does come, it will be no joke.
Jesus and Mary are always urging us to prevent this from becoming reality. They know how severe it will be, we don’t. If God is urging people to disarm His anger, i think we should listen to Him and not entertain any thought about the positives that would eventually come from the chalice being poured out upon us.

I get discouraged at the evil in the world, and i contribute more to it than i should, but i don’t want to experience any of those days of purification.
Yes, I do know. I would not want to live through those days. However, this chastisement is long overdue. As I said, I’m not patient, but God is.

But unfortunately, only real suffering will knock the fear of God back into the human race. The punishment is not God being vindictive. It’s God unleashing his mercy, and his mercy can just as well take the form of a catastrophe, like he did with Judah and the Babylonian exile. After the Exile, which lasted seventy years, Judah never again played with idolatry.

So let God unleah is wrath when he will. Let it be today. Let it be a thousand years from now, but only a swift and severe punishment will lead mankind back to virtue.

Be careful wishing for the end times.

Yes, it’s painful to watch your loved ones make bad choices and it’s hard to be called names for your beliefs, but maybe God holds back His wrath so as many people as possible can be saved.
Yes, of that I have no doubt.

However, God will not ignore the cry of the saints forever.

While I have no death wish and I’d like to live a long happy life, I have also come to think that a major demographic-altering catastrophe is what this world needs right now, to shake the fear of God back into humanity.

If humanity were to be greatly reduced (like, say 1/3 or 1/2) by a disaster—natural or man-made—then all of a sudden, the questions of marriage, “gender theory”, abortion, contraception, and economy would be swiftly resolved. Because it would be in humanity’s better interest to let the natural things take their course rather than agenda.
imo, I don’t think humanity as a whole would turn back to God. I think it whatever happened would just be put down to climate change/natural causes/science explained - iow, every other possible reason except the mighty and just hand of God.

There’s always been an ‘agenda’ of one type or another since the beginning. I also think that with resources so very limited, people would band together not only to support each other and help build society etc., but also to grab as much as they can for themselves. Picture Mad Max 2.

There used to be a prayer that basically said you accepted whatever type of death God has planned for you - example here.

But don’t you get it? God has repeatedly asked us to plead, sacrifice and atone so that His wrath will not fall upon us. Why do you think He asks that of us? More importantly, why do you think He should pour out wrath when He specifically asks us to beg him not to? do you know better than Him?! What did Jesus say to the boys that wanted fire to rain down on unbelieving villages?

I’m not trying to win an internet argument and it’s not a case of i’m right, you’re wrong but what is threatened is far more devastating than can be imagined. If it can be mitigated in any degree, i’d like to at least try.

Yves du Pont “Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement”- a book that would be worth a read (just not before bedtime). I had it paperback but it should be available online.

Imagine what God thinks of this–this just adds to our need to cry out for God’s justice and mercy as he can do both things at the same time.

Don’t want to put facts in the way of catastrophic eschatology but in the period since World War ll, when all the Godless activities mentioned in the thread have been happening there has been a very, very significant increase in human life expectancy, a huge decrease in infant mortality, a massive reduction in the size, duration and impact of famines and epidemics and huge improvements in the response to recurring natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes. Oh, and far, far fewer wars of far less intensity and greatly fewer casualties. This is all comparative of course and many terrible things still happen. But if God really does send disaster on peoples as a punishment and a warning then he is showing a great deal of restraint!

Be not afraid, pray and trust Our Lord Jesus Christ!

God bless you…
Exactly.
God would like us to live good lives and do penance in order to make reparation, save sinners, and help his Church and the Holy Father.
God does NOT want us living in fear and panic. He wants us to pray, hope, and not worry, and to trust in him.

He would also like us to do what we do out of love for him, and perhaps also love of neighbor, not because we’re afraid he’s going to do something awful. We’re not a bunch of Calvinists who follow “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.”

The Fatima children didn’t sit around being afraid, and they were only little children. We should follow their example.

Is this an approved apparition?
The original Akita messages and weeping of the statue are approved. They are bishop-approved, and the Vatican permitted them to be disseminated without the Vatican issuing any statement itself; nevertheless, the bishop approval is sufficient to make an apparition an “approved apparition” in the Church.

The very recent alleged message from this year has not been approved. The bishop has not issued a new statement on it, and the previous approval was in the 1980s and presumably only covers the messages and weeping that occurred before that.

Regarding the new message, it’s pretty similar to those that came before and were approved, but there’s no formal approval for the new message as of now, and some people question it because it came through a third party to a very small media outlet rather than from the visionary herself through a large, more reliable media outlet. The timing of the message at a time when many are on edge about the Church and the fact that the visionary herself is very elderly, ill, and not really accessible has caused some to express doubts about the latest message.

Lets not forget the people pushing the ‘new’ message put up a youtube that endorses conspiracy theories and the controversial Fatima Centre priest

With that in mind If a new message is to be validated by the Bishop, then the claims in the youtube documentary are in direct opposition to the Holy See and wont help the validity of this at all.

It is true that the “maybe” new message has not yet been approved, though some say the message was passed on from her “sisters”, so we can’t be sure why they may have chosen a smaller media outlet.

There are also others who are not conspiracy theoriest encouraging us to listen to the message, which is a very simple message that our Blessed Mother has asked of us in other apparitions, to pray the rosary and that is something that is definitely needed.

Message from Saint Augustine…from today’s (Sunday Office of Readings) excerpt-
But I wish you to be without anxiety. He who is without anxiety waits without fear until his Lord comes. For what sort of love of Christ is it to fear his coming? Brothers, do we not have to blush for shame? We love him, yet we fear his coming. Are we really certain that we love him? Or do we love our sins more? Therefore let us hate our sins and love him who will exact punishment for them. He will come whether we wish it or not. Do not think that because he is not coming just now, he will not come at all. He will come, you know not when; and provided he finds you prepared, your ignorance of the time of his coming will not be held against you." 🙋 @Tis_Bearself @MagdalenaRita @Cruciferi @GiftofMercy @CRV 🙏 @Lazybones @porthos11 @1Lord1Faith @DaveBj @0Scarlett_nidiyilii I can’t put more people in CAF won’t permit 😶
I just thought you all might like to see what is from today’s office…regrets not full quote…was surprised to see how it kinda fits in. have a peaceful day 😇

Sunday’s Gospel reading is about the end times. It is almost the end of the Liturgical year though. Our Priest is linking both in the readings.

You rightly remind us that the Church has more than enough to say in her magisterium and liturgy without us having to tie ourselves into knots over this and that apparition.

  • This illustrates the problem of approving private revelations during the lifetime of the “seer”. That local bishop did not approve “Akita”, only certain past disclosures.
  • Any Bishop of a diocese has more authority within his diocese than all the approved private revelations combined.
  • The secular world urges us to challenge the Catholic hierarchy. Private revelations are sometimes misused to obey that secular trend.
  • When someone says they will obey “Mary” rather than their pastor/bishop/pope, what that really means is “I want to obey ME”.
