A false dilemma! Jesus pointed to the beauty of lilies as powerful evidence that the world is created by a loving Father, that life is a precious gift and that we should love one another as our brothers and sisters. Christianity is a rational religion based on a coherent monotheistic interpretation of reality with moral and political principles which are otherwise inexplicable.
At first, a dogmatic religion; a sect of Judaism that believed Jesus was the messiah, and the Son of God. After Gentiles were able to convert directly without first becoming Jews, it became a separate religion.
