I ask you, was God behind this encounter this morning?

For 30 years I have been struggling with someone who said something unkind to be about a family member. I tried to overcome it. I would forgive but the anger would come back sometimes. I tried to find this person’s email or phone number online just in case I wanted to call and tell him off. I never found it. This morning I see this person walking right by my house, only yards away!!! I talked to him and told him how I felt. He was very humble and contrite! He did not remember how he hurt me. We had a nice long walk and I forgave him. I can’t believe I was bold enough to tell him how I felt. I find it amazing that this man would be walking right by my house. He never knew where I lived. I never knew where he lived. I have not seen him in almost 30 years!!! Do you believe God was behind this encounter? I do. Things just as amazing have happened to be before. I thank God for this healing gift. I forgive the man and will pray for him. He said he would pray for what he had done too. What an amazing thing.

Wow! What a wonderful story, and example, of forgiveness! We could all take a lesson from you! Yes, anything good like that, forgiveness, love, and all the rest comes from God!
 
Wow, that is a “once-in-a-lifetime” privilege! I’m glad that you were able to make peace with this person.
