I went to Confession today. The parish where I went is hosting a Mission with a priest from the Pallottines, I think. He heard my confession. I confessed my sins, and after stating them, he absolved me. After that, he began giving me advice, gave me a penance, and then he instructed me to say an act of contrition. I did, and he blessed me and that was it.
I didn’t interrupt him, of course, when he began the absolution, but I was wondering, was I validly absolved? I’m just kind of confused because of the order and not sure whether I should receive the Eucharist tomorrow.
