Was I wrong not to attend my sister's wedding?

Please advise me if I was wrong to attend a rehearsal dinner and reception for my sister, who married a divorced Catholic who thumbed his nose at the Church teaching on annulment.
I DID NOT attend the ceremony at the Anglican church! And
I’ve been persecuted by the family for two years because of it. I’ve been called a hypocrite and self-righteous, as well as unChristian. Please direct me to the Catholic doctrine on this matter. Thank you, and God bless!

Let’s get this straight: You have been called a hypocrite and un-Christian for refusing to support your sister in her attempt to marry a man whom the Church considers to be still married to another woman. Further, this attempt took place in a church other than the Catholic Church.

So you have been called a hypocrite for trying to be faithful to the Church to which you have professed loyalty by your Baptism and Confirmation.

You have been told that you acted in an un-Christian way by trying to put your sister’s spiritual welfare ahead of having her approval.

Actually, your family members have caved in and denied what their Church teaches in favor of supporting your sister emotionally in her folly. So your behavior is very intimidating because it reminds them of what they should have done and didn’t.

I think that covers it.
