The question I pose was in response** to your question:
Do I believe in OSAS from God’s perspective? What would that be?

Please let me know what this has to do with the topic (Was/Is Mary the Ark?).

If it’s off topic it’s your fault: I was responding to you.

What’s the question I’m supposed to answer? I get lost in all this foolishness and god playing.

You asked me if I believed in OSAS from God’s perspective. I asked you what you meant by that.
Don’t you read the posts?

Well just as my boot camp instructor would say: Opinions are like dirty socks,we all have them and at times they can stink:cool:
wow nicea. my drill sgt. said opinions are like…etc. i think we will just stick to what your drill sgt. said.😛 dont think i could write the other here! lol! young ears ya know. Peace 🙂

I’m still a little unclear what you’re getting at here. In Old Testament there was a box covered in Gold set apart for a holy purpose which contained the Word of God, the Bread of Heaven and the symbol of the Priesthood.

This was a foreshadowing of what would happen in the New Testament when a new covenant would be made by God. There would be a woman who would hold in her womb the Word of God, the Bread of Heaven and our Great High Priest.

It’s typology, the Old and New testaments shedding light upon each other.
nicely put castingcrown. i tried to explain this to him earlier, but i think he is either not getting it, or is just being plain stubborn.😉 anyhow. i think dokimas need a hug, so ill do the honors. cant just keep beating him up without giving a little love too. lol! :hug3::grouphug:

I sure did.

It’s kind of straight forward. Look back at your post I commented on with the response, “do you believe in OSAS from God’s perspective.” Put it all together and the question is straight forward.

Do you think from God’s perspective (remember you said He sees all past, present and future) so He knows who will be saved. Correct???

If so, does that make OSAS a correct doctrine figuring God knows ALL?

NOPE.
You still think that God is in full control of who will be saved simply because he knows that path we chose? That is a ludicrous assertion.**

**God is omniscient - he knows ALL. That doesn’t mean that he chooses for us.
It simply means that he know what choices we made, when we made them - and if we ever abandoned those choices.
YOU choose heaven or hell. God doesn’t coerce us to make the choice.

NOPE.

Yep! There is a difference between knowing and choosing…

What’s ludicrous is that you read into my posts what’s NOT there. Please STOP doing it.

I do **NOT **believe God chooses AND I NEVER said He does!!!

Elvis, what part of what I said caused your misrepresenting my post? Was it your blinded **anti-tactics **towards non-catholic Christians?

Thanks for the hug.

I understand the concept of the OT being a forshaddow to the NT. The Tabernacle is a perfect example. I just don’t agree with some of the understandings of the CC as revealed here on CAF.

You keep asking about OSAS in God’s eys. Why is that?
OSAS is unteneble in God’s eyes, period.

Are you saying God doesn’t know who will and who won’t be in Heaven?

Care to elaborate on this statement: “OSAS is untenable in God’s eyes”?

On the surface it doesn’t make sense.

un·ten·a·ble: Not able to be maintained or defended against attack or objection.

As I have stated ad nauseam - the mere fact that God knows what path you chose - doesn’t make him responsible for it. YOU are.
That’s the wonderful little gift called, “Free will”.

If you’d like - I can give you a free lesson on the doctrine of free will - in another thread of course.

**You have veered far enough away from this thread (Was/Is Mary the Ark?) for long enough my angry friend . . . **

If you read my posts carefully, you wouldn’t have to sicken yourself because I agree with you on this point. You have yet to answer me directly.

Knock yourself out, but I’ll bet I pretty much agree with your understanding of free will.
You have veered far enough away from this thread (Was/Is Mary the Ark?) for long enough my angry friend . . .
You’re the angry one; I’m the frustrated one.

I started the thread then I followed your lead and asked you questions you’ve not answered. In this case, if we’re off topic (and as the OP it should be my perrogative to do as I please), it’s you who took us there. Please get something straight, will you?

Aye, aye, aye . . . 🤷

I don’t understand Dokimas’ assertion that because God is outside of time and knows who will choose to remain faithful to the end, that this makes OSAS a true belief.

People have asked me if I am sure of my salvation. If I say I have faith in God, and follow His commandments, and confess my sins when I do wrong, and I hope for heaven, I am told that I really don’t have faith, but believe in my works and not those of Christ.

But by Dokimas’ definition during this life only God knows whether I will have “run the race” until the very end. Since it is impossible for any human to say in truth that they are sure of their salvation because only God can know this, why ask the question?

Why not just ask me?

I defined NOTHING. I ask if God knows the end from the beginning, does that mean OSAS is true from HIS perspedtive? Simple question derived from an understanding of God’s foreknowledge.

your welcome my friend. and i do not fault you. i really do not believe the Marian beliefs can be grasped except by a move of the Holy Spirit. if you want this to happen, i will gladly pray that it does. Peace 🙂

My take on OSAS is rather simple. If one is already saved and cannot lose his/her salvation, why even bother going to ANY church or pray? Seems to me one has a one-way ticket to heaven.
