Was it a sin to click off of these forums?

I don’t do it every time, but sometimes if I am nervous or asking a question on an embarassing topic, I click off of these Catholic Answers Forums. Is this a sin?
 
You’re asking if it’s a sin to stop reading or stop asking a question if the topic embarasses you? No. There’s no sin involved. It’s ok to be shy. I click off when the discussion gets too intense, or more often when I don’t understand the comments being made. You don’t have to read or ask questions here. Do you possibly have a problem with scrupulosity?
 
No, in no way is it a sin to un-subscribe to something. It is just a forum, after all. You have every right to click off it if you are no longer interested, or its in conflict of interest.

And while there are some wonderful, wise, holy people on these forums, there are also a number of wacko’s, too. Sometimes clicking off is the best thing you can do!

Am I the only one who thinks this is satire pointing to the ridiculuousness of some of these questions?
 
Sorry I didn’t mention this before, I ment when my parents walk in and I click off because I am nervous.

Oh, my goodness! This is one of the funniest threads I’ve been on! You left out the most important detail!!

Personally, I don’t think it’s a sin. Are you worried because you feel like you’re hiding something from your parents? Wanting a little privacy is not a sin. Now, if you’re not allowed to be on the computer and you’re disobeying them, then that would be a sin. But if you’re just embarrassed because of the question/answer content, that would be the same as asking advice from a friend instead of a parent because you feel more comfortable. I don’t think that’s a sin.
 
I don’t think it’s very funny, I’m afraid. I can understand better now, though. I’m almost 60 years old, and I moved in with my father when my mother died. He walks in and reads over my shoulder all the time. Even if I’m just sending someone a recipe, I don’t want him invading my privacy. I see why you feel guilty, but there’s no need. There are subjects discussed here that may be of great interest to a young man, but would embarrass him for his parents to know. It’s a lot easier to talk about some things with strangers than with your folks.

Let me make one thing clear to you. I do not think the situation is funny - I think the replies from the readers are funny in light of the fact that he left out the most important detail, i.e. that he clicks off the site because his parents enter the room. All of the replies are based on the thinking that he is merely clicking off the site because he doesn’t like what he’s reading. Do you get it now?? Excuse me for finding some humor in the misunderstanding. I certainly did not mean to offend anyone.
