One should watch closely what comes out of the UK. There’s an anti Catholic bent in that nation. Some things are self destructive, are easily seen for what they are, and do not need to be called to anyone’s attention and are counter productive. They plead to be buried in the mire because corruption is their nature. We don’t put a rotting rat in our pocket to bring home to share with our loved ones. Stay away from such garbage, and don’t even give it the slightest notice.

It’s most probably, if not certainly, a ridiculous claim. We know so little about the life of Jesus that how in the world would anyone know about such a private aspect? Besides, it fits in with the current speculation about so many people’s sexual lives, both historical figures and present-day celebrities, that it seems like just another example of sensationalism designed to arouse the prurient interest of the general public.

More properly put, homosexual activity is fornication, which is a grave sin in the Catholic Church. In fact, since the Catholic Church does not recognize same sex “marriage” then it is impossible for two people of the same gender to engage in sexual activity without committing fornication, whether or not they consider themselves to be “married.”

As far as the author of the article in the Guardian goes, I would say, to be kind, that he is very confused. Of course, the Anglican split over issues such as ordination of women, same sex marriage, etc. has proved to be a boon for the Catholic Church as it has driven some Anglican priests and congregations back into the fold of the one true Church.

Yes, their bias in running this lurid fantasy is transparent. The author even mentions that Jesus could have been celibate, but dismisses this because, he claims, there is no Jewish tradition of celibacy. Since when is Jesus Christ to be strictly held to Jewish tradition? And since He is true man, true God, how could it be the least bit difficult for Him to be celibate? The author asserts that because Jesus was a man as well as God, He wouldn’t have been able to control Himself. Rubbish!

This “chaplain” needs some serious counseling and perhaps a long sabbatical, since his words clearly imply doubt regarding the sinlessness of Christ. Most likely, his article reflects his own yearnings.

Less than 2% of the population is actively homosexual. Ask someone to guess, they will guess in the 15-25% range.

Why? Because it is so shoved into our faces that it looks like just another lifestyle. Almost normal.
