There is a church that I go sometimes for daily mass that offer adoration immediately after daily mass, as well as before mass. (This is not my home church)

I was wondering if it was wrong for me to have left when mass ended but when adoration began. I used to think it was ok, but I was the only one that left. Now maybe I shouldn’t have done that. I’m hoping it was not a sin!!

I could have stayed for adoration, but chose not to - I planned on spending time in adoration a couple days later (which I did)

I do not think so. Ask a priest

You are free to leave.

There is no obligation to remain for Adoration following a Mass. As Catholic1954 said, you are free to leave.

Considering that there’s no obligation to attend daily Mass in the first place, there’s certainl yno sin in leaving after it. Even if you left Mass before it ended, there would be no sin.

There was nothing wrong. Theologically, God is present during the Mass and the Eucharist is present Mass or no Mass. Adoration is a devotional that is highly recommended, but it is not obligatory. Last First Friday Mass I also walked out after the Mass, for personal reasons.

I do think it’s awesome that particular parish holds adoration so much. My parish has a perpetual adoration chapel and it’s one of my favorite places on earth.
