Respectfully, do not understand what one is trying to refer to with ones post, stating to the woman who washed Jesus feet isn’t far fetched:confused:>interesting, left one confused.

interesting pondering on according to Jewish Traditions, Rituals, Lev. Laws, Numbers 5:11-30 what is the meaning and understanding of washes one feet?

Is it true in Jesus time or in Lev Law, an unlawful woman is taken to her priest who would loosen and uncover’s her hair, as being unfaithful to her husband?

Is it not written, Hair is a woman glory, only to be enjoyed by her husband, is this true?

A Woman washing the feet of a man, loosens her hair, to dry and having rich oils, perfume, in Jesus time, be looked upon as scandalous , disgraceful, in all that is written in the Bible, Lev. Laws?

Is there not also Laws regarding washing the feet, hands for priests are given in Exodus 1:21 when serving upon his altar?
Do not our own priest wash their hands on the alter before preparing the Eucharist?

John 12 was a formal event, formal affair, gathering of close friends, maybe family members, reclining at the table as written and mentioned and who was the host?
Was it custom in Jesus time for the host:confused:, to wash the feet of their guest or provide water, not doing so would be looked upon as unfriendly etc?

In a Catholic forum in this kind of discussion, that’s kind of like telling a fitness forum that you’re not going to follow the running/weight lifting format, and use the two interchangeably.

Or perhaps use “eat” and “type” interchangeably, as they are both verbs . . .
