I recently watched a “documentary” on EWTN about the life of Mary Magdalene called “The Eldest Daughter of the Church”. In it they said that Mary Magdalene was the sister of Martha and Lazarus. I was surprised by this, because I thought Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, was a completely different person. I found it a little disturbing, and really couldn’t get past that after hearing it toward the beginning of the movie. I also thought that Mary Magdalene had been a prostitute, and was the woman in the Bible that washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, and dried them with her hair. Can you help?
