Was Muhammad a Prophet of the Judeo-Christian God ?
That’s not the same Angel we all know and Love.Angel Gabriel approaches with love and says do not fear/do not be afraid in the bible
Angel Gabriel to muhammad:
The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, “I do not know how to read.” (The Prophet added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, “I do not know how to read,” whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, “I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?).” Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, “Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous…up to… …that which he knew not.” (96.15)
Somehow I dont think this is the same Gabriel, so I do not believe muhammad is a prophet of the Christian God
Yes no doubt at all about that, it has become unclear because man has worked his works…this quote may help. Why would the God of the Bible create another religion that would cause us Christians so much confusion ?
Right, why would Jesus want to destroy his own Religion.No. One of the consistent threads throughout the Bible is that God has established his people, it started with Abraham and continued through the Church. If Muhammad was sent by our God why would he seek only to correct Pagan Arabs and not the people of God, who though in error (I am for the sake of argument assuming Islam is true in this case) would need a Prophet to guide them to the truth?
What Muhammad did instead was organize the Arab populations into a force which nearly threatened to destroy Christendom and subsequently the advancement which happened in the Christian west. If Muhammad were a Prophet in line with the Judeo Christian Prophets, the project God started with Abraham, through Israel, to the Church was abandoned and God decided to start fresh. I think that’s an implicit narrative in Islam.
Muhammad knew what he was doing.Yes no doubt at all about that, it has become unclear because man has worked his works…this quote may help.
"From the beginning the followers of all religions have believed in two seas,— one salt and one fresh; in two trees — the tree of good and the tree of evil. For this men have called one another heretics. Misinterpreting the divine commands, men have acquired prejudices and on these prejudices they have waged religious wars and caused bloodshed. Behold what is happening to-day! Men are killing their brothers, believing this to be a cause of salvation, believing that such work is approved by God, believing that those whom they kill will be sent to hell.
Baha’u’llah speaks to humanity in a different tone, declaring humanity to be like the leaves of a single branch, the branches of a single trunk."

Err? Judeo-Christian God? Wozzat?Was Muhammad a Prophet of the Judeo-Christian God ?
Jewish people who have converted to Christianity know exactly what that means.Err? Judeo-Christian God? Wozzat?![]()
Go figure!Jewish people who have converted to Christianity know exactly what that means.![]()
Because maybe it’s no longer His own religion?Right, why would Jesus want to destroy his own Religion.![]()

Ask yourself this. Why would God want to create a Law, only for it to** be equated to death at some point in the future?**

Do you ever re-read what your post and wonder how you could ever **defend Christianity when Judaism exists?

What do you think would happen if a Pope came out in this day and age and said Muhammad was a False Prophet ?Catholics are required to accept the precepts of Vatican II. I accept these even though I am Anglican.
Pope St. John Paul II to Muslim youth on 8/19/85:
**"…We believe in the same God, the one God, the living God who created the world and bring His creatures to their perfection" **
Tin Staples of CA:
"The question is do they [Muslims] adore the same God we do. The Church says yes."
**The Church has not gone so far as to acknowledge Muhammad as a Prophet, but it should be noted that John Paul II worked throughout his pontificate to build better understanding between Christians and Muslims.
Accusing them of worshiping a spurious god is not helpful in that regard. **
J.P.II, 3/12/00
"…let us ask pardon …for the distrustful and hostile attitudes sometimes taken toward followers of other religions."
Some non-Catholic religions believe the Muhammed was a propthet. The Catholic Church teaches that revelation is complete. The Canon of the Christian Scriptures closes with a prophetic book the Apocalypse of St. John. For the complete character of the revelation of Jesus Christ, see Dominus Iesus:Was Muhammad a Prophet of the Judeo-Christian God ?
So the continued existence of Judaism somehow disproves that God gave a fuller revelation through Jesus, yet the continued existence of both Jews, Christians, and Muslims don’t disprove the Bahai claim. Way to undermine your own position. Makes a lot of sense.Go figure!
