Was my Confession valid?

I confessed that I had committed mortal sin without giving any details which I know isn’t the correct way but my priest accepted it. Is this valid and did I put the priest in an occasion of sin? I have a big problem with obsessing over mortal sins and knowing I can confess to a priest in this way really helps me.

Please answer. Thank you

Even though the priest should have asked that you be more specific, the Confession was valid. You are not responsible for his behavior; he is.
