Was my confession valid?

Hello everyone! I just had a question about the validity of my confession. I am a teenager, so I’m aware my judgement isn’t the best yet.
Okay, so I went to church before Mass, and I was in line for confession. I made an examination of conscience, and I was ready for confession but when it was my turn the priest didn’t have enough time to hear mine.
So, after Mass, I asked the priest to hear my confession. I was nervous and I felt bad and embarrassed for asking him, because it was late, he had already spent an hour earlier in an appt with me (he was giving me spiritual direction,) and he seemed annoyed. I also am a slightly socially awkward person, so I get nervous doing things like this.
While I was waiting for him to hear my confession this time, I tried to remember all the sins i had in my mind beforehand. They were mortal sins. I remembered most of them, but I couldn’t remember the last one before the priest was ready to hear my confession. (I was waiting for him for like 2 minutes.)
And because I felt nervous and bad, I didn’t want to make the priest wait for me to examine my conscience anymore. So i just went to confession right away, even though I still hadn’t remembered that sin.
So my question is, is that omitting a mortal sin?

Your confession was valid. You did not intentionally leave out the sin. You tried to examine your conscience properly (twice, in fact). You did fine.

If you now (or later) remember what sin it was, you may mention it in your next Confession, but it is not necessary to go and make an additional Confession just for the forgotten sin. You have already been forgiven.

Reflect about why he seemed “annoyed”.
At your next Spiritual Direction session, tell him you sense that you annoyed him in this instance. He will provide some insight to your fears, some prayer recommendaitons, solutions, strategies for bring you to a place of peace, yet continuing in receiving Reconciliation when you need it.
So good that you have a relationship with your priest where you can speak frankly!

To clarify:

It is not a question of “may” but “must”.

If a person forgets a mortal sin they are normally obliged to mention it in the next confession (if they remember it)…

Great that you are receiving spiritual direction. Perhaps ask the priest to hear your confession at the end of your spiritual direction next time.
