Was my confession valid?

I went to confession today and during confession I confessed all I could remember. The priest started to give me advice and then absolution and as he was doing this I remember a few more sins that I forgot to confess. I didn’t want to interrupt though and be rude so I let him finish and I couldn’t tell him the rest. I also remembered a few more after coming out of confession. I did take end up taking communion. Was my confession invalid?

Yes, your confession was valid. However, if the sins you forgot to confess were mortal, they must be confessed as soon as possible. All Venial sins were forgiven through absolution.
 
To avoid scrupulosity, at the end of your confession say “For these and for all of my sins, I am truly sorry.” Then listen to the spiritual advice. If you remember any mortal sins before absolution, tell them to the priest. Once he recites the formula of absolution then rest assured that you have made a valid confession. If you remember mortal sins later, go back to confession but you don’t have to abstain from communion. Keep in mind this is my own understanding and not an expert opinion.

If you are going back to confession every day because you forgot mortal sins, then it’s time to speak with your spiritual director about scrupulosity. Don’t feel bad about an oversensitive conscience, it happens to the best of us, but it is dangerous to your faith.

Were those forgotten sins venial or mortal?

I’ll just add that, if you remember them, you can mention them the next time you happen to go to confession. Be at peace.
 
Your confession was valid. The next time you go to confession, if you remember these sins, then mention them as sins you forgot as you were listing your sins in your last confession. There is no need to return as soon as possible. Be at peace.
 
go to confession again next saturday and confess the sins you “forgot” last time plus any "new’ sins:

in the meantime i would say you are roger a-ok for communion

Yes, your confession was valid. You just need to mention any mortal sins you forgot at your next confession. I always write down my sins on a piece of paper so I don’t forget. And after I confess my sins I always say, “for these sins and any sins I may have forgotten, I am truly sorry”.
 
It’s been brought to my attention that I erred in my original response to this thread. I misread the OP’s final question. The title is, “Was my confession valid?” But the last question was, “Was my confession invalid?” I guess I need better reading comprehension skills. My answer was in response to the title of the thread. So, let me be perfectly clear. Yes, your confession was perfectly valid. I echo completely what my brother priest said above.
