Was my confirmation valid?

When I was confirmed I was in mortal sin (I have gone to confession since then) and my confirmation saint was ‘not my own’. What I mean is we had to write an essay on our saint and I just took a friend’s from another parish and used that. I don’t even remember what saint it was. Is there anything I need to do?

There is nothing you need to do. You validly received the sacrament, your ability to use its grace was simply delayed until you went to confession. As for your confirmation name/saint, it has no impact on the sacrament.
