Was My Silence a Mortal Sin?

Just want to tell everyone that I went to Mass today and received the sacrament. I feel better and trying not to let Satan trick me into believing I’m not worthy to receive communion, because of sin I did not commit. Yes I hastened to tell someone but it was cuz I never had something like that happen to me before. Now I’ll know how to react in the future, though God forbid it happens again.

You guys helped me a lot with my conflict. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! 🙂 👋

Blessings to you, SuS. May our blessed mother always lead you to her son.

No, he tempts you to believe you are a sinner and that God hasn’t truly forgiven you. In my case he was tempting me to be depressed and think that I’ve made a grave sin (which I haven’t) so I wouldn’t receive the Lord. Cuz not being able to take communion would make me miserable. He wants to trap you and not to allow to move forward by his lies. If you listen to him and fall for his trap eventually you will sin. He just want us to be miserable and feeling hopeless. And losing hope in God is a sin.

this happens at our Church too, sometimes. it happened yesterday. I told the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He said he would take care of it. He wiped it, but it looks like just smearing it. I didn’t tell the priest after mass because i had already told the EMHC. maybe i goofed again. it is still in my mind, and disturbing. thinking of writing a letter.

You didn’t sin, but instead of fearing potential sin, perhaps we should fear and be sorrowful at the careless spilling of the blood of our God on the floor (not that you caused it, but it pains me as well even reading about it through a computer).

It’s not your fault. Your scrupulousness may be a way to block the way to holiness.
