Was satan the father of Cain?

I was awake very early this morning and came across a Christian show on cable TV. A viewer asked this question to the minister hosting the show. The minister stated that the genealogy of Cain does not include Adam nor does Adam’s genealogy include Cain. he cites the book of Genesis for his proof.
Is he correct? How can he be coming to this conclusion?
 
Genesis 4:1
The man had intercourse with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, saying, “I have produced a male child with the help of the Lord."
