Was the devil part of the Deformation...I mean Reformation?

Barsapp. The Church has the right to declare someone a heretic which suggests it kind of bad for Luther, but I don’t think necessarily individual Catholics have the right to judge either way… I don’t want to play judgment with someone else myself.

This doesn’t mean Luther wasn’t a heretic, he was. When I said Luther may not have known what he was doing what I mean is that Luther might not have known he was wrong. I think he may have known but we don’t know. I’m not playing judge/jury over someone else’s life.

We were taught in 1974 that Martin Luther was either a demon or infested with demons. He attacked the Catholic church out of hatred for God and Jesus. The nuns of the Imaculate Heart of Mary quoted to us students:

Luther is a child of the devil, possessed by the devil, full of falsehood and vainglory. His revolt was caused by monkish envy of the Dominican, Tetzel; he lusts after wine and women, is without conscience, and approves any means to gain his end. He thinks only of himself. He perpetrated the act of nailing up the theses for forty two gulden- the sum he required to buy a new cowl. He is a liar and a hypocrite, cowardly and quarrelsome. There is no drop of German blood in him."

A lot of low lifes liked Luther because they lusted after Catholic property. These godless people martyered nuns and priests. Eventually the godless called themselves “protestants” even though there was nothing to protest about. The “protestants” do not have any real theology except hatred of the Pope and the Catholic church.

Our parish was and remains pre Vatican II regarding other faiths.

well, i’m only saying that the natural place for heretics is hell.
regarding Luther, and as I stated before, “He was perfectly aware of his heresy and the Church gave him many opportunities to repent, but he didn’t. On the contrary, he persistently held his heretical beliefs.” This is not my opinion but what we find studying the historical records.
are you saying that the enemies of the Church may/might go to heaven to reign with Christ forever and ever?

I guess I’m the type of person who doesn’t like saying I know whose going to heaven and whose going to hell. Please don’t get me wrong if Luther was alive today I’d probably oppose him to his face and all. But I don’t want to play final judge and jury myself.
