Once again the church believed what you call fundamentalism, so why did it change and when. Why didn’t the Holy Spirit protect from these errors?

The Church never believed fundamentalism, although the Church has grown in understanding through the centuries, just as Jesus said we would.

When do you think the Church went off the rails? When did Church teaching depart from what you claim was the consistent teaching of the Fathers?
