if you were following i think i explained myself well enough. to elaborate: no one can say with certainty that a given thing or condition does not exist. there are an infinite number of things that can exist and just because you have not observed them you cannot say or prove they do not exist.

invisible pink unicorns are very unlikely to exist but it wouldn’t make sense for anyone to say they do just because they feel their existence and their love. i think anyone here would agree with me on that point.

the same applies to gods. you can say you feel these gods exist and love you but because they have never been proven to exist it is probably unlikely that they do.

most atheists are really agnostics and most agnostics are just plain undecided.
And if anyone chooses to call their computer a pizza, doesn’t make it a pizza. If anyone chooses not to believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church or, in fact, in God…in Christ…doesn’t make a hill of beans difference. It doesn’t change the facts that it’s true and the Truth.

Catholicism is bad now because hitler was born a Catholic?
There are many examples of hitler claiming to be a catholic. in the 20’s and 30’s.There are also many examples of how he hated Christianity. And that he wished germany followed a faith like islam. as they were more militaristic. And placed self sacrifice higher than what Christianity did. But in general he hated all religions because religious people don’t tend to have dictators as messiahs. Unlike atheist. I recall a show on Australia’s abc. (sorry can’t tell you the name as I’ve watch so many history shows about ww2 over the years, shows have become blurred together) where they were interviewing old German soldiers of the wermach (sp).
And one of them said . “you could always tell when SS had arrived or beaten us into a town. Because when you entered a church the crucifix had been taken down and replaced by the swastika . And there were copies of mien kumpf instead of the bible". Not to mention the fact he wanted the pope out of the way. (and we all know “out of the way “ meant when the Nazis were involved.)

hitler was ok with the catholics. it was the jews he was after. and by the way, do you have any experience with european christians? not exactly the biggest fans of the chosen people.

not that the majority of them would think of personally harming a jew. not at all. it’s just that, well, say… if someone down the street were to be laying a beating on a jew… well, they might not exactly try to step in and help. if you know what i mean.

so you can be a nazi, be faithful to the political structure of the catholic church and not love the jews all at the same time.

weird huh?
Ok, Kolbe would SO differ with you on Catholics being ok with Hitler. No such thing at all. Catholics were the other bunch who were killed right next to the Jews…the Catholics just had the chance to die by starvation rather than by lethal gas.
