(Matthew 7:26-27). but everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and and what a fall it had.

In the 1500’s Martin Luther, as we all know started this Protestant Reformation shortly after the rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that Protestant Reformation, this Protestant reformation obviously built on sand facts speak for themselves had a great fall and what a fall it had.

Now over 30,000 protestant Churches here alone in the USA not to mention the world, and many do not agree with one another. begining with Martin Luther, who took out chapters from the Bible on down to sola scriptura on down the the new “Hawkins” he also like Martin Luther has Changed Bible Verses/deleted to fit his needs.

I am sure that Martin Luther has turned over more than 30,000 times in his grave, saying to himself: “What did I start.”

Facts show Without a doubt The Protestant Reformation due to the split from the ROCK, Fell, and what a fall it had and continues to fall every day as a new Protestant Church rises. In (Matthew 7:26-27). Above, Jesus, prophesied this Happening and tell us not to split from the Rock if we do we will be like that Stupid Man.

The One True Church, started when Jesus Started his Ministry along with his Apostles which later came to be known as the Catholic Church, which means “Universal” aka “The Rock”. Jesus, Phophesied, Knew that there will be attacks on His Church such as the weather mentioned above. attacks from within the Church, such as, Judas “The Betrayer” as Martin Luther “The Protestant” The Scandal of a few Catholic Priests “child molestations” and attacks from outside of His Church as well by “Non Catholics.”

***(Matt 16:18 -19) So now I say to you: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of the Underworld will never hold out against it. ***

Its our choice to be the “Stupid Man”. Or the “Wise Man” who built his house on “ROCK” that has not fallen apart in over 2000 years and growing, no matter what weather hits it! It still stands strong!

I checked 12 different versions of the Bible. 1 was Greek. 1 was Latin. 10 of those Bibles used the word foolish. 1 used the term stupid and it wasn’t the one in Greek or the one in Latin. 1 merely mentioned it would be as a man that built his house on sand with no adjective.

No. I am currently exploring different Trinitarian Christian religions. My mother baptized me Catholic. After that, not too much. Never got my Holy Communion and Confirmation. I went to youth group alot (non-denominational). I recently got married and am exploring religions, because I am not sure what religion I want to raise my future children in. I remember praying the Rosary and feeling at peace. So I have been discussing many topics here. I remember praying with the sign of the cross and some of the members at youth saying “are you Catholic?” in a incredulous way I told them that I don’t think I am. I went to Catholic school grades 1st and 7th and didn’ t like it. That is where I learned to pray. So that was my first inkling of Protestant vs. Catholic ideologies. Then I go here and see a Catholic stating that Protestants are stupid(because Jesus said so) and I am sort of having doubts about joining the faith. I don’t believe that insulting people is a good tactic for conversion, however Catholics and Protestants use it. I still pray that by using the sign of the cross. I might drawn to Catholic Church because of my Puerto Rican heritage. Not sure though.

Ummm…The last time I looked it is often Jehovah Witnesses, Evangelical Christians and other protestants who actively door knock and carry around large banners with scriptural verses boldly printed on them to get people to convert. This kind of behaviour is foreign to most Catholics, actively trying to convert people doesn’t come from our side…

I understand and want to let you know, not everyone uses the same tactics to discuss theology. I experienced it in a very negative way when I visited a protestant website thinking we could share our differences in our faith to the one Jesus Christ.

I think you being drawn to the Catholic Church maybe more at work than just your heritage. I’m speaking of the Holy Spirit.

Let me suggest you read some of the writings of the early Church fathers , the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. If you have or purchase a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, it has a reference in the back that will give you the Church’s teaching on verses in the Bible.

These forums can be a good place to learn but probably not as good as face to face exchanges. There seems to be a certain amount of “beer courage” on these forums due to the anonymity offered by sitting behind a keyboard.

Pick your selections carefully and try to overlook those who might seem less than charitable in their exchanges.

I’d be more than happy to answer questions, from a Catholic perspective, if you wish to private message me.

I am a ole convert but the logic of a 2000 year old Church made me look seriously at the Catholic Church. With the Church, the Bible started making real sense to me. It all became more and more clear as well as logical. That’s something I can honestly say didn’t work from my protestant youth.

As I mentioned the early Church fathers, I warn you, to know the early Church fathers it to be Catholic.

I’ll say a prayer for you and your family that the Holy Spirit will help guide you in your journey.

Yes, I do lump all Non Catholics as Protestants, Imagine if I named each and every Protestant Church idividual or denominational, including yours, It would take me forever to do so, lol There are so MANY the List would go on and on, Jesus Christ, did’nt want this to be.

The house built on rock already exists; we just have to go inside! It is the Catholic Church. Obviously it is not the one built of bricks and mortar but that made up of “living stones” who are the believers built upon the cornerstone, who is Christ Jesus. The house built upon the rock is the one about which Jesus spoke to Simon: (Matthew 16:18). “You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church”

To build one’s life upon rock therefore means to live in the Catholic Church, not staying outside, forever pointing your finger at the inconsistency and defects of the human side of the Church. Only a few souls were saved from the great flood, those who boarded Noah’s ark; only those who enter the Church will be saved from the deluge of time that swallows up everything (cf. 1 Peter 3:20).

This does not mean that everyone who is outside of the Catholic Church will not be saved; there is another way of belonging to the Church, “known only to God,” the Second Vatican Council says, that regards those who without knowing Christ, live according to the dictate of their conscience.

I think the recent teachings of the Church hold that non Catholic Christian denominations (and I’m not sure of the wording) have within them the necessary tenets of the faith, although they are in an imperfect communion with the Church. (RCC)

I understand that as saying they base their faith on the Triune God and do attempt to live out the Gospel as best they understand it. That they reject aspects of the Catholic Church we Catholics hold as essential tenets of the one True church, does not negate their salvation but it does cause a serious rift.

I read that as most mainline and evangelical denominations anchor their faith in Christ and in living out the gospel and doing God’s work in their lives, they are assured that same final salvation as Catholics.

JPII went even further to says that all men who answer the good within them that is an essential part of their makeup insofar as they too are created in the image and likeness of God, will find salvation by what means God the Father offers it to them (my words)

However, personally, I find it all easier within the framework of the Catholic Church. Far fewer questions to answer.

Truth is you are not drawn to the Catholic Church because of your heritage being Puerto Rican, You are drawn here by the Power of the Holy Spirit, To do your Fist Holy Communion, and Confirmation to be a full member of God’s Church and bring your future Children and perhaps your Husband if he is not a member already into the Catholic Church.

I am sorry. I said no i do not believe he wanted seperate churches. I wanted to say that I went to Catholic School in 1st grade(I didn’t like it) and then my mother send me back in 7th grade as a punishment for not doing academically well in 6th grade. Needless to say, I never made the mistake of doing academically poor again after that so I would not have to go back. Yes, I learned how to pray, but the schools were miserable. I am currently going to Mass right now but feel like a stranger who is out of place there. I am trying to stay open minded though and go. I don’t feel the joy that I am supposed to feel when I go. I hope that will change. I do plan on attending RCIA.
