Was Summa Theological the act of god or the act of Thomas Aquinas? Obviously it was the latter. It was all an act of men … sorry to say we’re all that there is (besides the lower creatures we feed off of). 😛
 
well there is …but it should be typed…cafeteria ‘catholic’ …as in President Kennedy was a ‘catholic’ in name only…he also self-ex-communicated himself with his unfatihfulness to his wife and family…we have such a one as veep in Biden…here behind the iron curtain in New York we had such a mayor…they are the ones who do the most harm…as long as they are even allowed in Church it is a scandal and the fault lies with the local bishops and also the ushers when they witness these truth mockers enter. One cant just go to a meeting of the …ohh…lets say,the Raccoons…as Ralph used to do on the honeymooners…unless one is a member in good standing…as long as the American church is neutered we are in dire peril…other then that enjoy the coming baseball season…I love to cheer on mulit-millionaire athletes while I work at my second job…goooo Jeeeda…
 
If you guys kicked out all the Catholics who disagreed with some element of Roman dogma, you would have few left (and Rome won’t give up all that revenue). I guess fortunately for the Vatican their bureaucracy is staffed by pragmatic men (and not zealots).

My guess is at this point the pope is more a figure head rather than wielding the sort of absolute power of popes in past centuries.

Except I was the one who first mentioned that if Luther was to successfully reform the church, he would of done so because God doesn’t fail.

there was a counter-reformation wasn’t there? Not that I attribute this to any mystical divine providence (it was just the natural response to an organizational challenge and good old fashioned competition).
 
Luther let to Nietzchse and the Nazi Reich…and the slaughter of innocents around the world…plus the 6 million Jews…it is no co-incidence that it was Germany that this was bred in with Luther being the seed it nourished on!.Remember it also was Karl Marx who attending college became an anti-semite…read his ‘on the Jewish question’ to see where Adolphs later disgusting comments came from.I remember debating a professor of western civilization on this very issue…being a bit older then the other students and married and a veteran I thought a university was the place to debate and discuss…hardly…I soon learned to never disagree with these marxist-fascist types…and so for 8 long years,going at nite,I suffered thru my ‘white knuckle’ periods…this was having to listen to hate lectures against God and Country…the RCC and America…but finally nodding and writing this hatred got me thru and I earned my BA and MA…and taught high school for 30 years…so I am not sympathetic towards left leaning bigots…sorry,try the place down the street…its called the white house.

your oratory here is so foolish it doesn’t even deserve a response. You my friend are a bigot (and ignorance is no excuse). It’s hard to believe you hold a college degree (I almost want to see proof … since you certainly don’t sound well educated).
 
As much as I love blaiming Protestants for everything wrong in the world, I cannot blaim the nazis or communism on Luther 🤷
