Was the second Person of the Trinity just a spirit before the incarnation?

As I understand it, Mary provided Jesus with an earthly body. Does this suggest that the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity did not exist prior to the Incarnation in Mary’s womb? Does that suggest that the 2nd person was only spirit up to that point in time?
 
Hi,

The divine nature of Jesus always existed. But when He took on a human nature in Mary’s womb, he became man. His human nature has a beginning, His divine nature does not.
