Hi all,

In another thread, someone gave me a link to Saints.

So last night I read it, and found out who some Patron Saints are for some afflictions in my life.

I was enthralled reading all of their stories.

I named my son Michael, he is 9, so I looked up St Michael.

I knew St Michael waged war on Lucifer and won.

I gave my son a small statue of St Michael for his Baptism.

On this web site, I found all the prayers to St Michael, and discovered we can pray to him to help us banish our own demons.

I read all the prayers, and last night in bed I was still thinking of him. I asked him to help me overcome some evil in my life.

Today, a man I have been chatting to on the internet, and whom had planned to meet me one day, as we felt an attraction, rang.

He normally rings every day. But our relationship has gone extremly downhill in the last 6 months due to his lack of commitment to meet, and some other issues, such as his non-belief in God.

I have often thought Satan was working through him.

I ended the relationship on the phone today, came to computer, deleted our messenger service we used, and deleted some other chat stuff that was taking me away from my family and life.

Do you think St Michael intervened here and gave me the strength to do this?

I don’t feel sad at all. This man was very nice, made me laugh and all that, but there were much deeper issues that I just didn’t like.

I feel so relieved. I feel like I have a new life.

Was it really St Michael who helped me?

I have never prayed to a Saint before and noticed any effect.

Well… if that happened to me, i would say that is the answer.

I have prayed to St. Michael, Mary, St Anthony, and the rest of the gang many times and boy have i either been totally blinded on the answers, or answered so bluntly that it hurt almost lol.

But i wouldnt doubt the power of not only God but of the prayer to the saints.

as subtle as it may seem or as big as it may seem, It probably wont be 100% answerable, but you can have Hope and Faith…

thats all I can say about that.

May the Grace of God be with you!

I want to say Bravo, too.
And i hope God continues to lead you in his direction, and that you choose Him over all things.

Godbless you

P.S.- I would like to add, many coincidences, or works of God have been in my life.
And i would like to share one 😃

Okay so I was babtized at St. Francis Church, and all my life growing up, ive been obsessed with St . Francis. And i got accepted to Franciscan University of Steubenville, and My Confirmation Saint played a key role in the coming of the Franciscan Order. I have always had a thing about being poor, coming from a poor family, I am really used to it, and i love it, I do not condone money, and i am almsot apathetic about it (which stinks when you have bills to pay) haha
Or maybe this other story will help
I was named Christopher(christ bearer) My first scapular was given to me as a gift, and it was randomy, it was a St. Christopher scapular, When i was younger, i had to carry my brother and sister across a river, and it was a very pivotol moment in my life because it was because they were both sick, and there is so much more that made me relate it to that. And i Thank God for brining my name to be Christopher, andi thank God for making me who i am.

May God bless you 😃

No, I think it was your own common sense. I would have been very leery of this situation also. He sounds like he could have been married. I think you made the right decision.

There are people who look at this in two different ways, possibility and reality.
both can be viable answers.

I don’t think it will hurt anything to thank God that St. Michael is around to intercede on behalf of the faithful. 🙂
