Was this a mortal sin?

Someone was working on a home project (sanding the fireplace) on Sunday and asked me to get the vacuum for them. So I went upstairs and got it. Was this a mortal sin of some kind by me participating in the sins of others?

Whatever do you mean? It was nice of you to get the vacuum for them. 😉
 
We are to keep holy the Sabbath day. But that might mean different things to different people, in accordance with their conscience and how God is leading them.
I’ ve been to church and plan to have a cookout with family,but also to mow the lawn (if I can fix the mower), walk the dog, wash the dishes, plant some lettuce. . .I find those things relaxing.
We are not of the Jewish faith, not allowed to work at all on Sundays.
